While I was waiting around for one of them to finish, to my suprise, my little "roo" laid down next to them and suddenly laid a little pullet egg. She was renamed "Manly," and besides being the boss of the flock, matured into an affectionate lap chicken."

ROOSTER REFUND FOR BACKYARD CHICKENS

Definitions:

A "Sex-Link" is a chick that is 99.9% sexable at birth by the color or pattern of their down. This is possible in our Orpington bloodlines through selective breeding.

"Started Pullet" is a sexed female that is 6-20 weeks old, and not yet laying.

"Straight Run" are day-old chicks that are not reliably sexable. They are not eligible for refund, however, if you are local pickup and your city ordinance specifically bans roosters, returns may be possible. Contact us.

Started Pullets are eligible in case of a rare late-bloomer.

STRAIGHT RUNS. NO refunds or exchanges will be issued for returned rooster chicks purchased from us as "straight run." However, we want you to enjoy raising backyard chickens, and enjoy the benefits of chickens. Return options might be available to you if you are a local in Cache Valley and your city does not allow rooster ownership (check your city ordinances for more info). This option is not available for any buyer that is a breeder, that is part of a commercial organization, hatchery, farm, or that reside in a city where where roosters are not specifically banned as pets.

We can refuse the physical return of any poultry, for any reason, at our sole discretion. For example, we will not except the return of diseased, injured, or otherwise unhealthy poultry under any circumstances, nor if we deem the return of poultry to be a health risk to our residence or flock.

Refund eligibility is dependent upon:

Our receiving of photographic proof of positive male traits such as red comb, large waddles, or crowing behaviors;

A required surrender of the unwanted cockerel BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We will take this opportunity to address your concern, exchange for a similar aged pullet (if one is available), or refund you the cost of your chick.

In the case that you have chosen to euthanize your unwanted cockerel, photographic evidence of the carcass is acceptable for the purpose of our authorizing the refund. (Be humane in choosing this option.)

Chicks delivered via USPS or delivery outside of 20 miles of our location are not returnable or exchangeable, but the terms for refund apply as previously stated.

We aim to create an environment of good customer service and satisfaction, however, all refunds, returns, and exchanges are applicable (and revokable) at our sole discretion.
